OUR MISSION

To provide free of charge licensed professional investigative services to family members of missing loved ones. Our focus being missing adults with mental, emotional, and age related health concerns. O.F.S. provides this service understanding the lack of resources available to our local law enforcement heroes.

Core Values

Spirituality

Operation Find-Safe is Christ based operating under His command "So in everything do to others what you would have them do to you." (Matthew 7:12)

Focus

We are mission driven and task force oriented. Our Investigators will give every case due-diligence and follow every lead until expunged. All cases will remain open and investigations will resume if new developments are received.

Transparency

Families will be kept informed frequently on the status of their investigation. We encourage family members to call the Investigator at any time with questions or information.

Stewardship

All money donated will be used for operational purposes only. Investigators will be paid and held accountable for their daily activities on every case. Our Treasurer will make available financial records to anyone upon request.

Collaboration

Operation Find-Safe will cooperate with any law enforcement agency or other organization that offers help. We believe there is no such thing as a "Bad Lead" or a "Bad Idea".

Simplicity

Operation Find-Safe will maintain the minimum number of Directors and Officers required by law for the formation of a Non-Profit corporation. We strive to stay streamlined and efficient.

As a retired Dallas County Probation Officer, I felt I possessed the skills needed to obtain my P.I. license. In January of 2017, I started working for criminal defense attorneys. While realizing that everyone has a constitutional right to a lawyer when charged with a crime, I did not find my work fulfilling.

I had an occasion to take a missing person case. The family had notified local law enforcement, but were told that since their missing loved one was an adult, there was little to nothing they could do. They recommended the family hire a P.I. The average working family in this country cannot afford the high retainers charged by private investigators.

With the help of a few other investigators, we found this person and the family was notified she was alive and well. It was at that time I decided to dedicate my time to the problem of missing persons in the United States.

The National Missing and Unidentified System (NAMUS) has referred to missing persons as "Our Nation's Silent Mass Disaster." Lack of enthusiasm, interest, or concern, is at the core of this problem.

Laws vary from state to state on how to handle missing persons cases. If a person over the age of 18 leaves home they are not breaking the law. While this is very true, in my personal experience I have learned that nobody goes missing without some personal or collateral dysfunction. Age, mental illness, and/or substance use disorder top the list. Their diseases may flourish, our homeless population increases, and many are sexually exploited. Death becomes a high probability if this is not acted on quickly.

Our Law Enforcement heroes are understaffed. Missing Person Units are usually very small, if they exist at all. Some agencies merge missing persons with other units such as CID, Homicide, or General Assignments. It is unfortunately a low priority, and disorganization follows. Family members find themselves unable to contact a Detective. Caseload sizes can be enormous, and unless it is a small child, Detectives are usually busy on other cases.

The psychological effect on the family is known as "Ambiguous Loss." It is basically a loss with no closure. The families vacillate between hope and despair. They literally do not know what to do.

I created Operation Find-Safe to give families hope. As stated in our mission, we try to pair experienced licensed private investigators with families of missing loved ones at no charge.

I have thoroughly vetted all of my staff. I will accept nothing less than excellence, and they will give each case due diligence. We will follow every lead and keep the families informed along the way.

Due to limited funding and personnel, Operation Find-Safe can only accept cases from those families who do not have the financial resources to hire a private investigator.

This project cannot work without donations. All donations received go straight to operational expenses.

Thank you and please donate to this cause.
